Hello Paul,

I am sorry it has taken so long for me to get some things over to you.  I have these two documents that have B.A.'s signature.  They were part of his duties as a Judge in St. Landry Parish.  I came across them as I was exploring Mr. Matte's Museum in Lawtell a few years ago.  They were hanging on the wall in his house, and I offered him $25 for them-and he took it.  I was so excited to get a couple of pieces of paper with Judge Martel's actual signature!  He had many boxes of document in his house.  I think he has gone to live in a nursing home, and I don't know what has become of all the documents he had.

I saw you have updated the website...looks really great. 

I was curious if you know a Eugene Martel, Sr. and Eugene Martel, Jr.?  They would have lived in the later part of the 1800's and early 1900's.
