We have continued to gather together on Christmas Eve for gumbo just like we used to do at moma's house. Darrel makes a really good gumbo, almost like mom's, and his wife Gloria always has some Christmas cookies, pies and cake. We had a good time talking, laughing, and listening to music. I even played the guitar. Gloria had a new guitar, and I tried it out. The highlight of the evening for me was when I I was playing the guitar and singing together with Darrel to encourage his grandson Karon to ride his new horse. We just kept singing, "Ride that horse" and once he got the hang of it, he kept on going.
